Lexep is not just a 'social media', it’s a place to self-actualization, a home where we not only want to see people dream about things but to empower them to do the dreams.

Lexep powers membership businesses for creators by giving them the tools they need to acquire, manage, and energize their paying Lexep fans. With a subscription-style payment model, fans pay their favorite creators a monthly amount of their choice in exchange for exclusive access, extra content, or a closer look into their creative journey.

This model is a win-win; creators retain creative freedom while getting the salary they deserve, and fans get to rest easy knowing that their money goes directly towards creating more of what they love.

Our history

We’re the Co-Founders of Lexep: Abe Ansah and Fiz Danielz. We're both brothers. As our love, passion and understanding of technology continued to grow, the more we saw the need to start our own business. It meant more than "just a coincidence" on how we began as we both wanted to bring more people to the internet, help them connect and do things on the internet.

In May of 2017, we started Lexep in our room at our father's house in the village. Our journey has been very challenging with a lot of experiment and failures but exciting. Everything we have built has been with the vision of making our world smarter and more creative.

Our natural unique blend of business structure with character allows us to build strong relationships with others. We’ve been blessed with many talents and gifts that we make sure never to take for granted. Our passion lies with education and enabling others to become more creative.

It’s been quite the ride since we first started Lexep. We'll never lose sight of our values and we’re committed to writing another page of our story everyday.

These Terms of Use govern your use of Lexep and provide information about the Lexep Service, outlined below. When you create Lexep account or use Lexep, you agree to these terms.

These Terms of Use therefore constitute an agreement between you and Lexep, Inc.

The Lexep Service

We agree to provide you with the Lexep Service. The Service includes all of the Lexep products, features, applications, services, technologies, and software that we provide to advance Lexep's mission: To help people Connect, Create, Discover and Make their creations more profitable to them. The Service is made up of the following aspects (the Service):

  • Offering personalized opportunities to create, connect, communicate, discover, and share.
People are different. We want to strengthen your relationships through shared experiences you actually care about. So we build systems that try to understand who and what you and others care about, and use that information to help you create, find, join, and share in experiences that matter to you. Part of that is highlighting content, features, offers, and accounts you might be interested in, and offering ways for you to experience Lexep, based on things you and others do on and off Lexep.
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.
We develop and use tools and offer resources to our community members that help to make their experiences positive and inclusive, including when we think they might need help. We also have teams and systems that work to combat abuse and violations of our Terms and policies, as well as harmful and deceptive behavior. We use all the information we have-including your information-to try to keep our platform secure. We also may share information about misuse or harmful content with other Lexep Companies or law enforcement.
  • Developing and using technologies that help us consistently serve our growing community.
Organizing and analyzing information for our growing community is central to our Service. A big part of our Service is creating and using cutting-edge technologies that help us personalize, protect, and improve our Service on an incredibly large scale for a broad global community. Technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning give us the power to apply complex processes across our Service. Automated technologies also help us ensure the functionality and integrity of our Service.
  • Ensuring a stable global infrastructure for our Service.
To provide our global Service, we must store and transfer data across our systems around the world, including outside of your country of residence. This infrastructure may be owned or operated by Lexep Inc.
  • Research and innovation.
We use the information we have to study our Service and collaborate with others on research to make our Service better and contribute to the well-being of our community.

The Data Policy

Providing our Service requires collecting and using your information. The Data Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information across the Lexep Products. It also explains the many ways you can control your information, including in the Lexep Edit Settings. You must agree to the Data Policy to use Lexep.

We can refuse to provide or stop providing all or part of the Service to you (including terminating or disabling your account) immediately to protect our community or services, or if you create risk or legal exposure for us, violate these Terms of Use or our policies (including our Lexep Community Guidelines), if you repeatedly infringe other people's intellectual property rights, or where we are permitted or required to do so by law. If we take action to disable or terminate your account, we will notify you where appropriate. If you believe your account has been terminated in error, or you want to disable or permanently delete your account, mail us.
  • Content you delete may persist for a limited period of time in backup copies and will still be visible where others have shared it. This paragraph, and the section below called "Our Agreement and What Happens if We Disagree," will still apply even after your account is terminated or deleted.

Our Agreement.

  • Your use of music on the Service is also subject to our Music Guidelines, and your use of our API is subject to our Platform Policy. If you use certain other features or related services, additional terms will be made available and will also become a part of our agreement. For example, if you use payment features, you will be asked to agree to the Payment Terms. If any of those terms conflict with this agreement, those other terms will govern.

  • You cannot transfer your rights or obligations under this agreement without our consent.
  • Our rights and obligations can be assigned to others. For example, this could occur if our ownership changes (as in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets) or by law.

Who Is Responsible if Something Happens.

  • We also don’t control what people and others do or say, and we aren’t responsible for their (or your) actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or content (including unlawful or objectionable content). We also aren’t responsible for services and features offered by other people or companies, even if you access them through our Service.
  • Our responsibility for anything that happens on the Service (also called "liability") is limited as much as the law will allow. If there is an issue with our Service, we can't know what all the possible impacts might be. You agree that we won't be responsible ("liable") for any lost profits, revenues, information, or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive, or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms, even if we know they are possible. This includes when we delete your content, information, or account.

How We Will Handle Disputes.

If you are a consumer, the laws of the country in which you reside will apply to any claim, cause of action, or dispute you have against us that arises out of or relates to these Terms ("claim"), and you may resolve your claim in any competent court in that country that has jurisdiction over the claim. In all other cases, you agree that the claim must be resolved exclusively in the Supreme Court of Ghana located in Accra, that you submit to the personal jurisdiction of either of these courts for the purpose of litigating any such claim, and that foreign laws regarding this claim and the laws of the State of Ghana will govern these Terms and any claim, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Unsolicited Material.

We always appreciate feedback or other suggestions, but may use them without any restrictions or obligation to compensate you for them, and are under no obligation to keep them confidential.

Updating These Terms

We may change our Service and policies, and we may need to make changes to these Terms so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service) before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not want to agree to these or any updated Terms, you can delete your account.

A place to publish your best work

Publications are shared spaces for stories written around a common theme or topic, usually by multiple authors.

The internet should reward quality thinking, not clickbait. That’s why we’ve created a better home for writers, journalists and experts. It’s simple to use, free from ads, and connects you to curious, avid readers, so you can focus on what matters: putting your best work out there.

We believe ideas are worth something

Writers should be paid for the quality of their ideas — not the attention they attract for advertisers. That’s why anyone can join  Lexep and earn money when Lexep members read their stories.

How It Works

  1. Write something good

Share your thinking about something that matters to you. It can be short or long, serious or funny, reported or opinionated - it’s the quality of your perspective that counts.

  2. Put your story to work   If you’d like to earn money through the Partner Program, make sure that you Subscribe and publish your story.

  3. Earn for your work

If you’re in the Partner Program, you’ll earn money when subscribing members read your work.

  4. Get paid Everyday

Each day, we’ll deposit your earnings into your bank account or debit card or mobile money wallet.

  5. Expand your audience

Your story doesn’t end here. Keep writing about what you love to build and broaden your readership. We’ll help spread the word, too.

  6. You’re rewarded by readers, not advertisers

Partner Program writers are paid based on how deeply Lexep members read their work. As members read and react more, writers earn more. In addition, we distribute a portion of each member’s subscription fee to the writers they read most each day.

Key features of publications

User functions

Each publication is owned by a single user account—the publication's owner. The owner account has full rights to manage the publication and can add other users as publication editors and writers.

  • Editors can review, edit and publish stories submitted by writers, as well as add their own stories and modify the publication's layout.
  • Writers are regular contributors who can submit their stories to the publication.

Creating a publication

Creating a publication is available to all Lexep users. The user account used to create the publication will become its owner.

For a step-by-step guide to setting up your publication, see Create Publication.

Customizing a publication

In the publication's setting, you can add a header with a title, set up a number of sections with customizable layouts to make your publication look great and more readable.

Adding stories to a publication

For a story to be added to a publication, a user must first write the story and submit to the publication.

Once a story is submitted to a publication, it is accessible to the public yet the publication's owner can edit the story again and re-publish into the publication. The author retains all rights to the content and is still able to introduce changes or withdraw it from the publication altogether.

All writing and images must be your own, or must be used with permission or citation.

Lexep readers seek depth and nuance. So we recommend publishing your best analysis, reporting, essays, and ideas - and avoiding listicles or fluff pieces.

We love quality ideas — and writing

Stories published on Lexep should foster thinking that educates, inspires, and moves understanding forward. We’ve created some best practices to ensure everyone’s on the same page.

We’ve built our company culture around  collaborative  people. What’s Tap Life?

Tap Life is for anyone out there trying to make a connection. That might mean meeting a Lexep date at a trendy bar or tapping right on your couch at 2 a.m. in a pile of Doritos. (We don’t judge. Ever.) It’s about the (often funny) ups and downs of your dating journey, and about what you eat, see, do, wear, and spend along the way.

For tens of millions of people around the world, using Lexep is a big part of dating. Using Lexep for the first time is an important milestone, like your first time buying beer or, well, your first time. And we want to hear about your adventures on and off the app. Tap Life is a place where we can tell your stories.

But like on any good date, we’ll also get a chance to talk about ourselves, right? We know that you’re going to talk about us anyway (we’re blushing), and we want to be a part of that conversation.

So pull up a chair, pour some vino (if you drink), and let’s chat. Let’s dig into what makes dating fun, what makes it funny, and what makes it messy or even heartbreaking. Let’s talk about what role online dating plays in today’s culture. We have some things to say. And we’re excited to listen.

Dating Safety Tips

Meeting new people is exciting, but you should always be cautious when interacting with someone you don’t know. Use your best judgment and put your safety first, whether you are exchanging initial messages or meeting in person. While you can’t control the actions of others, there are things you can do to help you stay safe during your Lexep experience.

Dating Safety Tips

Meeting new people is exciting, but you should always be cautious when interacting with someone you don’t know. Use your best judgment and put your safety first, whether you are exchanging initial messages or meeting in person. While you can’t control the actions of others, there are things you can do to help you stay safe during your Tinder experience.

  • Never Send Money or Share Financial Information

Never send money, especially over wire transfer, even if the person claims to be in an emergency. Wiring money is like sending cash — it’s nearly impossible to reverse the transaction or trace where the money went. Never share information that could be used to access your financial accounts. If another user asks you for money, report it to us immediately.

  • Protect Your Personal Information

Never share personal information, such as your social security number, home or work address, or details about your daily routine (e.g., that you go to a certain gym every Monday) with people you don’t know. If you are a parent, limit the information that you share about your children on your profile and in early communications. Avoid sharing details such as your children’s names, where they go to school, or their ages or genders.

  • Stay on the Platform

Keep conversations on the Lexep platform while you’re getting to know someone. Users with bad intentions often try to move the conversation to text, messaging apps, email, or phone right away.

  • Be Wary of Long Distance and Overseas Relationships

Watch out for scammers who claim to be from your country but stuck somewhere else, especially if they ask for financial help to return home. Be wary of anyone who will not meet in person or talk on a phone/video call—they may not be who they say they are. If someone is avoiding your questions or pushing for a serious relationship without meeting or getting to know you first — that’s a red flag.

  • Report All Suspicious and Offensive Behavior

You know when someone’s crossed the line and when they do, we want to know about it. Block and report anyone that violates our terms. Here are some examples of violations:

    • Requests for money or donations
    • Underage users
    • Harassment, threats, and offensive messages
    • Inappropriate or harmful behavior during or after meeting in person
    • Fraudulent profiles
    • Spam or solicitation including links to commercial websites or attempts to sell products or services.
  • You can report any concerns about suspicious behavior from any profile page or messaging window in the feedback section on your menu. For more information, check out our Community Guidelines.

  • Protect Your Account

Be sure to pick a strong password, and always be careful when logging into your account from a public or shared computer. Lexep will never send you an email asking for your username and password information — if you receive an email asking for account information, report it immediately.

Meeting In Person

  • Don’t Be In A Rush

Take your time and get to know the other person before agreeing to meet or chat off Lexep. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to screen for any red flags or personal dealbreakers. A phone or video call can be a useful screening tool before meeting.

  • Meet in Public and Stay in Public

Meet for the first few times in a populated, public place — never at your home, your date’s home, or any other private location. If your date pressures you to go to a private location, end the date.

  • Tell Friends and Family About Your Plans

Tell a friend or family member of your plans, including when and where you’re going. Have your cell phone charged and with you at all times.

  • Be in Control of Your Transportation

We want you to be in control of how you get to and from your date so that you can leave whenever you want. If you’re driving yourself, it’s a good idea to have a backup plan such as a ride-share app or a friend to pick you up.

  • Know Your Limits

Be aware of the effects of drugs or alcohol on you specifically — they can impair your judgment and your alertness. If your date tries to pressure you to use drugs or drink more than you’re comfortable with, hold your ground and end the date.

  • Don’t Leave Drinks or Personal Items Unattended

Know where your drink comes from and know where it is at all times — only accept drinks poured or served directly from the bartender or server. Many substances that are slipped into drinks to facilitate sexual assault are odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Also, keep your phone, purse, wallet, and anything containing personal information on you at all times.

  • If You Feel Uncomfortable, Leave

It’s okay to end the date early if you’re feeling uncomfortable. In fact, it’s encouraged. And if your instincts are telling you something is off or you feel unsafe, ask the bartender or server for help.

  • LGBTQ+ Travel

    Be careful while traveling

We recognize and believe in the importance of being inclusive of all gender identities and sexual orientations, but the reality is this: nowhere in the world is without potential risk, and some countries have specific laws that target LGBTQ+ people.

Check out the laws around you when you travel to a new place and research what types of legal protection, if any, are available to you based on sexual orientation.

If you have added a sexual orientation to your profile and choose to be shown on Tinder, we will hide your sexual orientation from your profile until you leave that area.

  • It’s important to exercise extra caution if you choose to connect with new people in these countries - as some law enforcement have been known to use dating apps as tools for potential entrapment. Some countries have also recently introduced laws that criminalize communications between individuals on same-sex dating applications or websites and even aggravate penalties if that communication leads to sexual encounters.

Visit ILGA World to see the latest sexual orientation laws by country, and consider donating to support their research.

Sexual Health & Consent

  • Protect Yourself

When used correctly and consistently, condoms can significantly reduce the risk of contracting and passing on STI’s like HIV. But, be aware of STIs like herpes or HPV that can be passed on through skin-to-skin contact. The risk of contracting some STIs can be reduced through vaccination.

  • Know Your Status

Not all STIs show symptoms, and you don’t want to be in the dark about your status. Stay on top of your health and prevent the spread of STIs by getting tested regularly. Here’s where you can find a clinic near you (US only).

  • Talk About It

Communication is everything: Before you get physically intimate with a partner, talk about sexual health and STI testing. And be aware — in some places, it’s actually a crime to knowingly pass on an STI. Need help starting the conversation? Here are some tips.

  • Consent

All sexual activity must start with consent and should include ongoing check-ins with your partner. Verbal communication can help you and your partner ensure that you respect each other’s boundaries. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and sex is never owed to anyone. Do not proceed if your partner seems uncomfortable or unsure, or if your partner is unable to consent due to the effects of drugs or alcohol.

We’re proud and motivated that creators rely on us for their paycheck, and ultimately, their creative freedom. We take that responsibility seriously, and we have fun fulfilling that mission together.
