Lexep is not just a 'social media', it’s a place to self-actualization, a home where we not only want to see people dream about things but to empower them to do the dreams.
Lexep goes beyond connecting with families and friends. We believe everyone should be able to have their voice heard, regardless of background or experience level. If you've ever tried to start something meaningful, you know all the logistical barriers that can stand in your way. At Lexep, we aim to remove all of these barriers. Our goal is to make social networking easy and fun, without sacrificing the quality everyone deserves.
We’ve both always loved radio, podcasts, playing music, watching mind-blowing videos, reading and writing and all things social. In 2017, we were inspired to build Lexep prototype after realizing how difficult it was to create and distribute online content. Our experiment quickly took on a life of its own, and we made it a habit and lifestyle to bring Lexep to life. We’re now a growing team, based in Ghana and continuing to invent crazy new ways for people to immerse themselves in the world of social networking. We all agree it’s the most fun job we’ve ever had.

This policy describes the information we process to support Lexep and other products and features offered by Lexep (Lexep Products or Products).
I. What kinds of information do we collect?
To provide the Lexep Products, we must process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Products.
Things you and others do and provide.
As described below, we collect information from and about the computers, phones, and other web-connected devices you use that integrate with our Products, and we combine this information across different devices you use.
Information we obtain from these devices includes:
II. How do we use this information?

Learn more about what information is public and how to control your visibility on Lexep.
Content others share or reshare about you
You should consider who you choose to share with, because people who can see your activity on our Products can choose to share it with others on and off our Products, including people and businesses outside the audience you shared with. For example, when you share a post or send a message to specific friends or accounts, they can download, screenshot, or reshare that content to others across or off our Products, in person on your device. Also, when you comment on someone else's post or react to their content, your comment or reaction is visible to anyone who can see the other person's content, and that person can change the audience later.
People can also use our Products to create and share content about you with the audience they choose. For example, if you submit a copy of your government-issued ID for account verification purposes, we delete that copy 30 days after submission. When you delete your account, we delete things you have posted, such as your photos and status updates, and you won't be able to recover that information later. Information that others have shared about you isn't part of your account and won't be deleted. Publications are shared spaces for stories written around a common theme or topic, usually by multiple authors.
The internet should reward quality thinking, not clickbait. That’s why we’ve created a better home for writers, journalists and experts. It’s simple to use, free from ads, and connects you to curious, avid readers, so you can focus on what matters: putting your best work out there.
Writers should be paid for the quality of their ideas — not the attention they attract for advertisers. That’s why anyone can join Lexep and earn money when Lexep members read their stories.
Write something good
Share your thinking about something that matters to you. It can be short or long, serious or funny, reported or opinionated - it’s the quality of your perspective that counts.
Put your story to work If you’d like to earn money through the Partner Program, make sure that you Subscribe and publish your story.
Earn for your work
If you’re in the Partner Program, you’ll earn money when subscribing members read your work.
Get paid Everyday
Each day, we’ll deposit your earnings into your bank account or debit card or mobile money wallet.
Expand your audience
Your story doesn’t end here. Keep writing about what you love to build and broaden your readership. We’ll help spread the word, too.
You’re rewarded by readers, not advertisers
Partner Program writers are paid based on how deeply Lexep members read their work. As members read and react more, writers earn more. In addition, we distribute a portion of each member’s subscription fee to the writers they read most each day.
Each publication is owned by a single user account—the publication's owner. The owner account has full rights to manage the publication and can add other users as publication editors and writers.
Creating a publication is available to all Lexep users. The user account used to create the publication will become its owner.
For a step-by-step guide to setting up your publication, see Create Publication.
In the publication's setting, you can add a header with a title, set up a number of sections with customizable layouts to make your publication look great and more readable.
For a story to be added to a publication, a user must first write the story and submit to the publication.
Once a story is submitted to a publication, it is accessible to the public yet the publication's owner can edit the story again and re-publish into the publication. The author retains all rights to the content and is still able to introduce changes or withdraw it from the publication altogether.
MAKE IT YOURS
All writing and images must be your own, or must be used with permission or citation.
KEEP IT AD-FREE
Please don’t market yourself or other products, feature advertisements, or include requests for reactions or donations.
RAISE THE BAR
Lexep readers seek depth and nuance. So we recommend publishing your best analysis, reporting, essays, and ideas - and avoiding listicles or fluff pieces.
Stories published on Lexep should foster thinking that educates, inspires, and moves understanding forward. We’ve created some best practices to ensure everyone’s on the same page.

Our mission is to Connect people to Ideas and things that makes them better everyday.
Lexep makes every content accessible to everyone and modernizes the medium by making it shareable, interactive, and easy to create and consume.
A few of the many benefits:
We’re a hard-working team of people who are obsessed with reinventing social media network.
People who work at Lexep are passionate - not just about their jobs or helping people get their voices heard, but about all kinds of things. You might be a musician, writer, artists, content creator, or have an interesting side project, or volunteer outside of work. Whatever it is, we all care deeply about our shared and personal missions and the ways we impact the world around us.
We’ve built our company culture around collaborative people. We expect everyone to work together, be willing to help with projects outside of their comfort zones - whether that’s learning a new skill, brainstorming a wacky idea, or helping to build furniture - and have the confidence to ask for help when it’s needed.
The members of Team Lexep are creative, both professionally and personally. We laugh a lot. We’re always willing to humor strange conversations, because they lead to the best ideas. We all bring our unique life experiences to work with us and use them to guide us in building a platform that delights a huge variety of people constantly. And of course, we’re all constantly launching our own goofy podcasts, videos and publications.
Most importantly, everyone at Lexep is not an asshole. We know that nothing matters more than being kind to our coworkers and ourselves. We pride ourselves on making connections with the very awesome people using our product every day, and remember that everything we do, we do for them. We go out of our way to help our coworkers, whether that’s by pitching in on a project or just offering positivity when it’s needed.

Tap Life is for anyone out there trying to make a connection. That might mean meeting a Lexep date at a trendy bar or tapping right on your couch at 2 a.m. in a pile of Doritos. (We don’t judge. Ever.) It’s about the (often funny) ups and downs of your dating journey, and about what you eat, see, do, wear, and spend along the way.
For tens of millions of people around the world, using Lexep is a big part of dating. Using Lexep for the first time is an important milestone, like your first time buying beer or, well, your first time. And we want to hear about your adventures on and off the app. Tap Life is a place where we can tell your stories.
But like on any good date, we’ll also get a chance to talk about ourselves, right? We know that you’re going to talk about us anyway (we’re blushing), and we want to be a part of that conversation.
So pull up a chair, pour some vino (if you drink), and let’s chat. Let’s dig into what makes dating fun, what makes it funny, and what makes it messy or even heartbreaking. Let’s talk about what role online dating plays in today’s culture. We have some things to say. And we’re excited to listen.
Meeting new people is exciting, but you should always be cautious when interacting with someone you don’t know. Use your best judgment and put your safety first, whether you are exchanging initial messages or meeting in person. While you can’t control the actions of others, there are things you can do to help you stay safe during your Lexep experience.
Meeting new people is exciting, but you should always be cautious when interacting with someone you don’t know. Use your best judgment and put your safety first, whether you are exchanging initial messages or meeting in person. While you can’t control the actions of others, there are things you can do to help you stay safe during your Tinder experience.
Never Send Money or Share Financial Information
Never send money, especially over wire transfer, even if the person claims to be in an emergency. Wiring money is like sending cash — it’s nearly impossible to reverse the transaction or trace where the money went. Never share information that could be used to access your financial accounts. If another user asks you for money, report it to us immediately.
Never share personal information, such as your social security number, home or work address, or details about your daily routine (e.g., that you go to a certain gym every Monday) with people you don’t know. If you are a parent, limit the information that you share about your children on your profile and in early communications. Avoid sharing details such as your children’s names, where they go to school, or their ages or genders.
Keep conversations on the Lexep platform while you’re getting to know someone. Users with bad intentions often try to move the conversation to text, messaging apps, email, or phone right away.
Watch out for scammers who claim to be from your country but stuck somewhere else, especially if they ask for financial help to return home. Be wary of anyone who will not meet in person or talk on a phone/video call—they may not be who they say they are. If someone is avoiding your questions or pushing for a serious relationship without meeting or getting to know you first — that’s a red flag.
You know when someone’s crossed the line and when they do, we want to know about it. Block and report anyone that violates our terms. Here are some examples of violations:
You can report any concerns about suspicious behavior from any profile page or messaging window in the feedback section on your menu. For more information, check out our Community Guidelines.
Be sure to pick a strong password, and always be careful when logging into your account from a public or shared computer. Lexep will never send you an email asking for your username and password information — if you receive an email asking for account information, report it immediately.
Take your time and get to know the other person before agreeing to meet or chat off Lexep. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to screen for any red flags or personal dealbreakers. A phone or video call can be a useful screening tool before meeting.
Meet for the first few times in a populated, public place — never at your home, your date’s home, or any other private location. If your date pressures you to go to a private location, end the date.
Tell a friend or family member of your plans, including when and where you’re going. Have your cell phone charged and with you at all times.
We want you to be in control of how you get to and from your date so that you can leave whenever you want. If you’re driving yourself, it’s a good idea to have a backup plan such as a ride-share app or a friend to pick you up.
Be aware of the effects of drugs or alcohol on you specifically — they can impair your judgment and your alertness. If your date tries to pressure you to use drugs or drink more than you’re comfortable with, hold your ground and end the date.
Know where your drink comes from and know where it is at all times — only accept drinks poured or served directly from the bartender or server. Many substances that are slipped into drinks to facilitate sexual assault are odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Also, keep your phone, purse, wallet, and anything containing personal information on you at all times.
It’s okay to end the date early if you’re feeling uncomfortable. In fact, it’s encouraged. And if your instincts are telling you something is off or you feel unsafe, ask the bartender or server for help.
Be careful while traveling
We recognize and believe in the importance of being inclusive of all gender identities and sexual orientations, but the reality is this: nowhere in the world is without potential risk, and some countries have specific laws that target LGBTQ+ people.
Check out the laws around you when you travel to a new place and research what types of legal protection, if any, are available to you based on sexual orientation.
If you have added a sexual orientation to your profile and choose to be shown on Tinder, we will hide your sexual orientation from your profile until you leave that area.
It’s important to exercise extra caution if you choose to connect with new people in these countries - as some law enforcement have been known to use dating apps as tools for potential entrapment. Some countries have also recently introduced laws that criminalize communications between individuals on same-sex dating applications or websites and even aggravate penalties if that communication leads to sexual encounters.
Visit ILGA World to see the latest sexual orientation laws by country, and consider donating to support their research.

When used correctly and consistently, condoms can significantly reduce the risk of contracting and passing on STI’s like HIV. But, be aware of STIs like herpes or HPV that can be passed on through skin-to-skin contact. The risk of contracting some STIs can be reduced through vaccination.
Not all STIs show symptoms, and you don’t want to be in the dark about your status. Stay on top of your health and prevent the spread of STIs by getting tested regularly. Here’s where you can find a clinic near you (US only).
Communication is everything: Before you get physically intimate with a partner, talk about sexual health and STI testing. And be aware — in some places, it’s actually a crime to knowingly pass on an STI. Need help starting the conversation? Here are some tips.
All sexual activity must start with consent and should include ongoing check-ins with your partner. Verbal communication can help you and your partner ensure that you respect each other’s boundaries. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and sex is never owed to anyone. Do not proceed if your partner seems uncomfortable or unsure, or if your partner is unable to consent due to the effects of drugs or alcohol.
